What Is Gum Disease?
In order to have a beautiful smile, you need to have healthy gums. However, many people of all ages suffer from gum disease. This video details how gum disease can develop when plaque forms.
Plaque is a substance that collects on teeth when bacteria and food debris are not readily removed. Accumulation of plaque can cause an inflammatory reaction in gum tissue. This effect is one of the initial symptoms of gum disease. The longer that plaque remains on teeth, the more severe that gum disease can become. Watch this full clip to find out more.
