Foods to Avoid During Your Six Month Smiles® Treatment
Have you always wanted to have straighter teeth? Now, with Six Month Smiles®, you can achieve your goals without the hassle or time it can take with traditional metal braces. It is essential to take good care of your braces to avoid complications, and that means avoiding certain foods. Your dentist can give you a complete list of foods you should avoid during your Six Month Smiles® treatment, but you should be sure to stay away from hard, crusty breads, pizzas, and bagels. You should also avoid chewing on popcorn kernels and certain types of nuts. Taffy, caramel, and other sticky candies should be avoided, as they could damage your braces. You can still eat egg rolls, burritos, and hamburgers, but you should cut them into bite-size pieces instead of taking bites directly from them.
Sanford Dental Excellence is happy to offer Six Month Smiles® as a treatment option for our patients who wish to improve their smiles. Call us at 407-268-6409 to learn more about Six Month Smiles® and the other options we offer to help you get the smile you’ve always dreamed of.
